Our Honorary Chairman

Mia Cools was born in  Bonheiden on 25 oktober 1946.

Tijdens haar voorzitterschap werden enkele structurele veranderingen doorgevoerd binnen de Fanfare Sint-Rocus en ontstond in 2003 de huidige Koninklijke Muziekvereniging Bonheiden. Vriendschap en kamaraadschap zijn haar belangrijkste eigenschappen en doelstellingen, en wil deze zoveel mogelijk integreren en promoten in de vereniging en daarbuiten.  Begin 2014 ontving zij de Cultuurpluim 2013 voor haar constante inzet voor de muziekvereniging, maar vooral voor haar dagelijkse inzet voor de Bonheidense gemeenschap.

During her presidency, some structural changes were made within the Fanfare St. Rocus and in 2003 she founded the current  Royal Music Association Bonheiden (Koninklijke Muziekvereniging Bonheiden). Friendship and kamaraadschap are its main characteristics and objectives, and want to integrate it as much as possible and promote it in the association and beyond. In early 2014 she received the Cultural Plume 2013 (Cultuurpluim 2013) for her constant commitment to the music society, but especially for her daily commitment to the community in Bonheiden.
