Bart Van Buggenhout

Bart is born on 4 August 1979 in Mechelen.

Bart has been appointed as conductor of the Royal Music Association Bonheiden in 2008. Bart is a musical genius. At a young age he enrolled at the municipal Music Academy in Willebroek and after a relatively short period he joined Brass Band Euterpe as 3rd cornet.

To perfect as a musician, Bart took private lessons with John Gage, Jan De Smedt, Megan Davey ...

As Laureate to youth soloists matches, he won several first prizes and Champion titles.

Led by father Roland Van Buggenhout, Bart worked gradually on to solo cornet and in 1996 he became the principal cornet of the Band.

In the meantime, he was already principal cornet of the Brass Band Scaldis Hoboken under the conduction of Erwin Pallemans, and at Brass Band St. Cecilia Leest (Heffen), as well as replacement principal cornet at BorderBrass in Hoogstraten.

Today, Bart is only active as a musician of the famous Brass-Band Euterpe where he is also the President .

Currently Bart conducts the Royal Music Association of Bonheiden (Koninklijke Muziekvereniging van Bonheiden), the Royal Band of the Mechelen Police (Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Mechelse Politie), and the Concert Band Heffen.

He already conducted and worked together with Nico Schepens, Frank Vaganée, Sabine Tiels, Gunther Neefs, Kathleen Aerts, Anneke Geschier, Barbara Dex, Nicole en Hugo and others.
